Principal Mark Zura Boardman High School

I Believe in Believe!

Spartan Families,

It is my sincere pleasure to welcome our students and families to BHS for the 2024-25 School Year. To paraphrase the hit TV Show Ted Lasso “The harder you work, the luckier you get.” There is a lot of hard work being done by our amazing faculty and staff at Boardman High School!

BHS continues to make great educational strides. According to the 2024 U.S. News & World Report, Boardman High School is ranked #3 in Mahoning County, and in the top 100 out of 941 Ohio High Schools. U.S. News & World Report releases these rankings taking into consideration performance on state assessments and college/university preparation. In addition, Boardman High School has achieved AP Honor Roll Bronze Status highlighting the myriad of AP Opportunities available to our students. New classes this year to Boardman High School are Discrete Mathematics and Robotics.

In athletics, Boardman High School won a State Championship in Girls’ Bowling in both team and individual state championship outright. BHS won a conference high 8 AAC (All American Conference) Championships, with 7 players named AAC Players of the Year. This year Boardman had 19 individuals qualify to state level competition.

In the fine arts, the Boardman Orchestra sold out the BPAC for Project Mayhem and had its largest audience in attendance for the outdoor Project Mayhem Concert in Spartan Stadium which included fireworks at the conclusion of the show. The Boardman Band performed at Walt Disney World and continues to perform at an ever-increasing number of community events. The Boardman Choir performed at Universal Studios and hosted a Madrigal Dinner for the community. Our visual arts program continues to receive accolades in local, state, and national competitions.

In closing, as best summed up by Ted Lasso, “Success is not about the wins and
losses; it is about these young fellas being the best version of themselves, both on and
off the field. It ain’t always easy, but neither is growing up without someone believing in
you.”

At Boardman High School, We Believe in Believe.

We Believe in Our Young Spartans.

We Believe in Boardman!

Take Care, Be Safe, and… GO SPARTANS!!!
