WHAT MAKES BHS SPECIAL
Boardman High School has a long standing tradition of excellence and a very supportive relationship with our alumni and community. The district's mission statement is: Together, We Transform Lives Through Academics, Athletics, and the Arts.
Our students volunteer thousands of hours each year for organizations including Habitat for Humanity, Second Harvest Food Bank, Akron Children's Hospital, United Way of Youngstown and the Mahoning Valley, Boardman Rotary, and so many more. BHS is firmly committed to our Valley.
Our Boardman Performing Arts Center is the biggest venue of its kind in Mahoning County: the professional sound stage and lighting allows for both school and community events.
The BPAC is also a learning opportunity for our students interested in production behind the scenes. Boardman’s BPAC Crew learns how to manage a facility, the lighting, audio, and fly systems, as they prepare for dozens of concerts, two BHS Musicals per year and the annual BHS Project Mayhem Rock Orchestra performance.

Teamwork, dedication, and drive fuels our athletes and our athletic program! Boardman students can choose among 24 OHSAA sanctioned sports. Our coaches, trainers, and staff are experienced and knowledgeable. Approximately 50% of our student body participates in athletics.
We are proud of our community funded Spartan Stadium: a 7,200-capacity year round training and multi-sport facility with a state of the art video board where Boardman enjoys year round competition.
