Dozens of Boardman police, firefighters, and emergency responders participated in Boardman High School's Annual Legacy Lockdown on February 12.
This tradition began as a result of the tragedy in Parkland Florida, where a tragic school shooting took the lives of 17 students and staff on February 14, 2018. In Boardman, we honor the lives lost on the anniversary, by paying tribute to our own emergency responders with a clap out. We also mark this anniversary by holding a lockdown drill to practice our safety protocols.
