Tonight, Boardman High School proudly celebrated the induction of our newest members into the National Art Honor Society!
The purpose of the National Art Honor Society is to inspire and recognize students who have shown outstanding ability in art, while encouraging members to reach their highest potential and promote arts education throughout the school and community.

This evening also highlighted the incredible service work completed by NAHS students throughout the year. Most recently, members volunteered their time before and after school to repaint the time capsule rock at Boardman Park — a community landmark that had not been repainted in over 20 years.
We were also honored to welcome BHS alumna Leah Franke as tonight’s guest speaker. A 2023 graduate of Boardman High School, Leah is currently pursuing her BFA in Interdisciplinary Studio Art at Youngstown State University while serving as President of YSU’s Student Art Association. Her passion for creativity, philanthropy, and art accessibility continues to inspire the next generation of Spartan artists.
A special thank you to NAHS advisor Mrs. Burnside for her dedication to fostering creativity, leadership, and artistic excellence within our students.
