Boardman High School proudly recognized students Wednesday afternoon at the 27th Annual Induction Ceremony of La Società Onoraria Italica! This special ceremony honored the hard work, dedication, and passion our students and educators have shown in their study of the Italian language and culture, as well as their willingness to give back to their community.

BHS was proud to induct 16 new members, who now join 11 returning members from the Class of 2026. We also celebrate our 2026 honorary inductee, Mrs. Deana Girardi, for her support and commitment to our local Italian community.

A heartfelt thank you to our incredible educators—Signora Pishotti and Signora Rickert—for their leadership and dedication. We are also grateful to longtime BHS Italian teachers Signora Amero and Signora Keifer for continuing to support our foreign language department in more ways than one.

Special thanks to the Cocca Family for their continued support of the Italian National Honor Society—your generosity helps make opportunities like this possible for our students.

Congratulations to all of our inductees for this outstanding achievement. Your commitment to excellence makes us proud to be Spartans! 💚🤍❤️

What an amazing day for nearly 45 BHS and Glenwood Jr. High students!!
They spent most of the day --suited up with waders and muck boots to do a professional field study with Kent State Scientists who monitor more than 42 wetlands across Ohio.
We are so grateful for this Kent State partnership--their expertise is helping make the dream for education to continue on the very spot where Market Street Elementary School once stood.
This Forest Lawn Stormwater Park is now a place where the Kent State group along with student groups who've been prepared by their amazing classroom teachers for years, for this very day!!
So Exciting!! Watch for reports on WFMJ-21 and WKBN-27 tonight

Boardman’s Emerging Leaders spent time today planting pinwheels at Boardman Park as part of the *Pinwheels for Prevention* effort 💙🌼
April is National Child Abuse Prevention Month, and communities across the country plant Pinwheel Gardens to raise awareness and show support for children and families. Each pinwheel represents someone in our community who has advocated for a child facing abuse or neglect 💙
Our Pinwheel Garden is located on the front lawn of Boardman Park, in front of the historic St. James Meeting House ⛪🌳
A special shoutout to Emerging Leaders co-chairs Addie Kowacich and Ellie Wymer, who were interviewed by WKBN-27 🎥—watch for their story coming soon! 👀

Boardman High School staff and students proudly wore green on Wednesday in honor of Cerebral Palsy Awareness Day, showing support for someone who is behind so many of the kind gestures and meaningful fundraisers that take place at BHS.

Mr. King does so much for others in our Spartan community, and today we came together to support his daughter, Olivia — our littlest Spartan warrior — who lives with cerebral palsy.

It was a powerful reminder that the strength of Spartan Nation goes far beyond classrooms and competition. We show up for one another, we lift each other up, and we stand together as a Spartan Family.

Because at Boardman, Spartans are never alone in their fight. 💚

Robinwood Elementary School did a FANTASTIC job raising money for the National Heart Association. This has been a school tradition for years, and this year was no exception.
They raised a total of $6,088 for Jump Rope for Heart!!
The students who raised $50 or more were in the $50 club and got to celebrate together with their bright green shirts that say "Lifesavers League".
They wore their shirts to school and enjoyed extra time in the gym signing shirt and playing some games with Mrs. Flores.
The money raised goes for research in the fight against heart disease!
